UFC welterweight John Maguire will make his lightweight debut against Mitch Clarke at UFC 161. Maguire started his career at middleweight, but has been fighting at welterweight since 2010. He went 8-3 as a welterweight that included a seven fight win streak, but Maguire has dropped his last two fights. Clarke is also riding a two fight losing streak with the most recent one coming by the hands of Anton Kuivanen at UFC 149.
UFC 161: Barao vs. Wineland takes on June 15 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In the main event, Defending Interim Champion Renan Barao will take on Eddie Wineland. UFC 161 will be the first time the UFC has held an event in Winnipeg.
