UFC welterweight Martin Kampmann is a polished competitor whose lone flaw relates to a questionable chin. However, outside of getting caught with the occasional one-punch knockout, Kampmann is as good as they come in the division with an overall record of 20-6 including wins over Thiago Alves, Jake Ellenberger, and Carlos Condit.
Though Kampmann hasn’t been booked since a November loss to top contender, the “Hitman” has been back in the gym on a full-time basis and is eyeing a few foes for future action against. Specifically, Kampmann recently revealed on Facebook he wants to fight Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine or the loser of this weekend’s headliner at UFC 158 between Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz.
“No fights lined up yet, but I would like to get one this summer against Strikeforce champ Saffiedine or Diaz after GSP beats him up.”
“If Diaz pulls it off I will be happy to fight GSP as well. I would actually prefer that.”
