The Ultimate Fighter 1 finalist “American Psycho” Stephan Bonnar‘s (11-7) appeal to the Combat Sports Authority of New South Wales was denied, according to an MMA Junkie report.
Bonnar had appealed his UFC 110 loss to The Ultimate Fighter 8 light heavyweight “Polish Experiment” Krzysztof Soszynski (20-9-1) in Sydney February 20.
The fight was stopped at 1:04 of round three by the doctor after Bonnar’s wig was split due to an accidental headbutt. Bonnar appeared to be winning the exciting fight up to the accidental headbutt.
Bonnar immediately appealed for the fight to be ruled a no contest and has lobbied for a rematch. According to reports, Bonnar and Soszynski will rematch at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale in Las Vegas June 19.
