A handful of fighters who competed this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 37 were handed medical suspensions through the UFC.
Since the event went down in London, the promotion acted as its own governing body, passing the suspensions through MMA LLC.
Jimi Manuwa, Michael Johnson, Brad Pickett, Gunnar Nelson and Brad Scott all received 180-day suspensions, while Danny Mitchell, Igor Araujo, Mats Nilson, Omahi Arkmedov and Melvin Guillard earned 30-days suspensions.
A handful of others were handed the mandatory seven-day suspensions for rest.
Manuwa must get clearance on both of his thumbs and a finger after his loss to Alexander Gustafsson in the main event.
For Johnson, he needs clearance of his left hand and Pickett is out with a possible neck injury. Nelson’s suspension is for a left knee and Scott’s for a right shoulder.
As always, the suspensions can be cleared by a doctor.
