When UFC President Dana White said he had a “great a phone call” with Mark Hunt, MMA fans were hoping that that meant he was going to be able to put together a fight between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos and Hunt. Hunt is coming off of a knockout of the night award winning performance over Stefan Struve, and fans clamored for the match when Alistair Overeem was forced of the card with an injury. And, that is exactly what fans will get in the co main event at UFC 160: Velasquez Vs Bigfoot II.
MMAFighting made the announcement late last night.
UFC 160 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25. The card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between current Champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. The two fought as potential contenders at UFC 146, but it was Velasquez who won the fight via technical knockout in the second round.
