Two of the UFC’s up-and-coming welterweights will lock horns on June 8 in the form of a fight between Erick Silva and John Hathaway. The bout is scheduled to take place at UFC on Fuel 10, an event also serving as the TUF Brasil 2 Finale, and will give Silva an opportunity to fight in front of his fellow Brazilians for the fourth time in his UFC career.
UFC officials have confirmed the outing’s addition to the lineup. The evening’s action will be headlined by a match-up between respected heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira-Fabricio Werdum.
Silva holds an overall record of 14-3 with eleven stoppages including a finish of Charlie Brenneman, while Hathaway is 17-1 and owns past wins over the likes of Rick Story and Diego Sanchez.
