Thiago Silva Colliding with Rafael Cavalcante at UFC 162

The card for UFC 162 got a boost this week with the addition of a number of interesting affairs including, of course, the headlining title-fight between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and undefeated contender Chris Weidman. One of the other “must see” match-ups slated for the show will involve talented 205ers Thiago Silva and Rafael Cavalcante, both of whom have been known to score stoppages more often than not when locking horns with an adversary.

UFC officials have confirmed the pairing’s placement on the July 6 lineup.

Silva is 14-3 in his career with eleven TKOs, while “Feijao” holds an overall record of 11-3 with finishes in all of his victories. Both men are coming off drug-related suspensions and could be in need of a win in order to secure a spot on the UFC roster.
