In a Tweet directed at Team Alpha Male Coach Duane Ludwig, Leonard Garcia announced he would be fighting guillotine specialist Cody McKenzie at UFC 159: Jones Vs Sonnen.
The two were scheduled to fight at UFC 155, but McKenzie was injured and forced out of the tilt. Garcia fought Max Holloway on the card instead, and picked up his fourth loss in a row. McKenzie last fought at UFC 146 where he made his featherweight debut. Chad Mendes was able to knockout McKenzie with a body shot early in the fight.
Garcia Tweeted to Ludwig, “Trying to come ASAP, I’m fighting Cody Mckenzie April 27th!”
UFC 159: Jones Vs Sonnen takes places April, 27 in Newark New Jersey and will be headlined by a light heavyweight title-fight between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
