Jason MacDonald Walks Away From Fighting

UFC middleweight fighter Jason MacDonald is hanging up the four-ounce gloves and retiring from mixed martial arts. MacDonald leaves the sport with a MMA record of 25-16 and a UFC mark of 6-8.

In his most recent bout, MacDonald was knocked out by Tom Lawlor just 50 seconds into his fight lasty May. MacDonald will still be around the  sport, but he will focus on his gym and his family, telling MMAFighting:

“I’ve had a great MMA career. I have traveled, met great people and have done things I would have never dreamed of through MMA. It’s been an honor to be with the UFC over the years, but it’s now time to move on. I’m getting older, my four kids are growing up fast. I’m going to focus on my family and my CrossFit gym.”
