Gustafsson Vs Mousasi Changed To Five Round Main Event

Alexander Gustafsson Vs Gegard Mousasi has been changed to be a 5 round fight. The UFC ran into some road blocks making it happen, but according to the Chairman of The Swedish MMA Federation (SMMAF) George Sallfeldt, the  bout is now officially a 5×5 fight. UFC on Fuel 9: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi takes place on April 6  at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Being able to arrange a match in the title length at home is obviously a big deal for SMMAF. However, it is important to remember that this decision does not mean that the overall match time for MMA matches increases. Even in the future, 3-rounds matches will be the norm for professional fights.
