Re: Spitsbing & his tainted victory
Joe:
Former ufc middleweight contender Chael Sonnen has a long ways to go before he steps foot back inside the octagon.
After having been speculated for using performance enhancing supplement’s after his spirited fifth-round submission loss to champion Anderson Silva last August, Sonnen did himself no favors thereafter when he plead guilty to money laundering charges–a federal offense that can carry a sentence of over twenty years in prison and a maximum fine of $500,000.
UFC President Dana White has since frozen the brash-middleweight fighter’s contract, suspending Sonnen for the interim until he can get his head on straight before he makes his way back inside the octagon. However, that hasn’t stopped the Team Quest product from calling out several opponent’s upon his return, namely Michael Bisping.
This past Saturday, Michael competed in the co-main event of the evening at UFC 127, which took place at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia, opposite of then budding contender Jorge Rivera.
Emotion’s were high heading into the middleweight affair, with Rivera battling Bisping from the get-go with several YouTube video’s poking fun at the Brit. Needless to say, Michael didn’t take too kindly to the videos and it eventually carried on over to the fight. Michael finished “El Conquistador” on second-round strikes, however it wasn’t without controversy. Bisping landed a blatant illegal knee in the first-round, however Rivera continued on with the fight, though he clearly never truly returned. Eventually, “The Count” was able to catch Jorge with a strong right hook, followed him up against the cage and unleashed before the referee intervened and halted the bout.
Bisping proceeded to rant and rave, yelling in Rivera’s face after the fight’s conclusion and even spat in the corner of Jorge’s once the fight was over.
Well, Sonnen took notice, and MMAWeekly.com was able to intercept an email sent by the one-time title challenger to UFC matchmaker Joe Silva, requesting a bout with Bisping upon his return.
“If you get a chance to talk with him, please mention to your idiot-in-residence Michael Spitsbing it’ll be a little tougher to knee ME in the head when I’m charging at him like a runaway train and mincing him through the fence like a boiled potato, should we ever have the pleasure of each other’s company for a few (VERY few) moments in the Octagon.
Oh; and I’d suggest to him being a little careful about spitting on any of MY cornermen, since any one of them can beat him up as badly as I can. Thanks ever so much.
Hope all is well.
-Chael Sonnen”
So, MMA peeps, what do you think of Sonnen’s letter of address to matchmaker Joe Silva? Sound off in the comment section below.

LETS GET IT ON!!!
I hear Vitor Belfort wants a piece of him also.
Since Chael doesn’t mean anything I have no opinion on his comment, but speaking of non-combatants who are tough enough to beat the combatants, did anyone notice the bouncer that stood in front of the left arm of each of the fighters at last weekend’s UFC tournament?
I know how to read eyes, attitude and earned confidence, and that bouncer was one seriously bad man. I’d pick him in a fight over any heavyweight in the UFC. Somebody should hire him to fight.
