After initial reports that there might trouble in the flyweight title-bout at April’s TUF 17 Finale in Las Vegas, it was then announced champ Demetrious Johnson was injured and out of the fight. The UFC went into scramble mode as a result and quickly put together a new main event, booking a bout between bantamweights Urijah Faber-Scott Jorgensen.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the clash on Twitter.
Faber last fought at UFC 157, submitting Ivan Menjivar in the first frame with a Rear-Naked Choke. Meanwhile, Jorgensen’s most recent rumble came in December where he choked out John Albert in the opening round of action.
