Ben Rothwell Blames Traveler's Flu, Wants Cro-Cop at UFC 115
By: Fighters.com Staff Posted On: February 22, 2010 at 6:55pmUFC heavyweight “Big” Ben Rothwell (29-5) withdrew from his matchup versus “Cro Cop” Mirko Filipovic (26-8-2) at UFC 110 in Sydney February 20 with what Rothwell trainer Duke Roufus called “traveler’s flu”, according to MMA Junkie.
Roufus told MMA Junkie, “It was a really bad virus. He got really sick and lost a lot of weight and hadn’t eaten for 48 hours.”
“Cro Cop” went on to finish “Hippo” Anthony Perosh (10-6) due to doctor stoppage after a Filipovic elbow opened a cut on Perosh’s head.
Roufus told MMA Junkie that Rothwell would like to try again with “Cro Cop” at UFC 115 in Vancouver June 12.
