It appears colorful middleweight Jason Miller has been booked to face TUF veteran CB Dollaway on Memorial Day Weekend as part of the lineup for UFC 146. The fight is arguably a “must win” situation for both, each coming off recent losses with Miller’s involving a particularly poor performance against Michael Bisping at the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale.
The UFC confirmed the bout this weekend.
Miller’s outing after serving as a coach on TUF 14 drew harsh criticism from UFC President Dana White who at the time questioned whether or not the organization would bring him back. However, the defeat also snapped a two-fight winning streak for “Mayhem” with both involving opening round finishes. The 31-year old is 23-8 overall in his career with past wins over Tim Kennedy, Denis Kang, and Robbie Lawler.
Comparably, Dollaway has come up short in his last two scraps and holds a 3-3 record in his last six showings. He was last seen in an exciting affair at UFC Live 5 where started out strong but ultimately fell to Jared Hamman.
Set for May 26, UFC 146 is also expected to host the heavyweight title-fight between champ Junior dos Santos and challenger Alistair Overeem. More bouts are expected to be announced on this week’s episode of UFC Tonight.
