Jacob Volkmann Released by the UFC

According to Jacob Volkmann’s Twitter page he was released by the UFC today. The lightweight leaves the UFC with a record of 15-4 including a 6-4 mark during his UFC tenure. Volkmann Tweeted, “Was just cut from the UFC today. I want to thank the fans, and say i gave it my all. No regrets.”

Volkmann last fought at UFC 156 and lost to Bobby Green by rear naked choke with just over 30 seconds left in the fight.
