A pair of Ultimate Fighter 14 alumni has been added to the UFC on FOX 3 lineup, joining fellow cast-mates John Dodson and Louis Gaudinot on the May 5 event. According to the UFC, featherweight finalist Dennis Bermudez will battle submission specialist Pablo Garza in hopes of avoiding a second consecutive loss inside the Octagon, while Johnny Bedford looks to improve his record to 2-0 in the UFC with Nick Denis standing in his way.
Bedford took out the undersized Gaudinot at the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale with a series of brutal knees to pick up the sixth TKO of his career (and fourteenth finish in eighteen total wins). Comparably, Denis is 11-2 with two straight wins including a memorable knockout of Joseph Sandoval via elbows at UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller.
Bermudez fell to Diego Brandao in an exciting season-ending affair, his third stumble in a trio of outings. In Garza he’ll face a bonus-winning adversary who is coming off a loss to Dustin Poirier but had picked up a pair of highlight-reel wins prior to the defeat.
