Rory MacDonald Injured And Out Of His UFC 158 Bout With Carlos Condit

According to reports, UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald has been injured and is out of his UFC 158 bout with former WEC Champion Carlos Condit. Rumors began to swirl yesterday that MacDonald had sustained a back injury, and would not be able to compete. However, now it is officially off, and the rematch between the two fighters will have to wait.

MMAFighting broke the news on Monday afternoon, and according to their report the UFC is scrambling trying to find a replacement for the injured MacDonald. The nature of the injury is still undisclosed, and the front runner in the ‘MMA rumor mill’ is that Tarec Saffiedine is a likely replacement for MacDonald.
