After having the weekend off, the UFC is back with another stacked card that will feature the first title bout to happen on Fuel TV. UFC on Fuel TV 7: Barao Vs McDonald takes place this Saturday, and in the main event Renan Barao puts his interim bantamweight championship on the line against Michael McDonald. The UFC heads back to London, England and Fighters.com will be bringing you wall to wall coverage of the entire event.
The event will broadcast in the afternoon, and the official start time has not been announced, we will be updating you guys as soon as we know! No glove touch in this one, and the feeling out begins. Gomez looking to work the legs early in the round. Gomez catches Harris in the pills, and we have a break in the action. Back underway, and Gomez is throwing less leg kicks. Harris catches a kick, and throws Gomez down, but lets him up. Gomez back to the leg kicks that sound awful for Harris. Harris is having a hard time getting in on the inside. Gomez is doing an excellent job of sticking and moving. Harris moves in and lands a nice one-two, but Gomez is ending every combination with a mean leg kick. Gomez shoots for the takedown and doesn’t get it as the round ends.

Harris coming forward early in the round, but Gomez is using his range so well. Back to work on the leg kicks for Gomez. Harris is finally starting to close the distance, and landing shots. He slowly getting his bearings. Harris lands a nice right hand, and ends with a leg kick. Gomez isn’t doing much but landing big leg kicks. Harris is now backing down Gomez some, and he mugs him taunting him for backing up. Harris lands a big right hand, and Gomez shoots but gets stuffed and its a mean knee. Harris leg is bright red. Gomez lands a nice flying knee and lands a nice front kick to follow. The round ends with a series of leg kick from both fighters.

Harris coming forward, and looks like the fresher fighter. More feeling out, and Gomez shoots and gets stuffed. Gomez lands a nice straight right and left cross. both fighters slowing down, and Gomez is doing a good job using his footwork to not let Harris hit him. Harris keeps catching the kicks from the Gomez but isn’t doing anything with them. Harris is not firing nearly as much in this round, and Gomez is controlling the cage so far in the round. Gomez got clipped and stumbled but it was more of a trip. Harris fighting with some urgency now, and is pressing forward and landing one-twos.

Vaughan Lee vs. Motonobu Tezuka
Round 1 (Ref: Leon Roberts)
The feeling out begins but Tezuka takes the center, both are southpaws. Lee opens with a nice inside leg kick that thuds. Tezuka is walking in with his straight up, and I don’t see it ending well for him. They clinch and Lee lands a nice knee on the inside, as Tezuka is working the whizzer. Lee lands more knees as avoids the takedown, and they break free. Tezuka throws a weak right hand, and Lee came in landing a three hit counter that forces Tezuka to shoot and get him down. Lee is landing some hooks to the body as Tezuka is still scrambling for the takedown. Tezuka is now holding Lee on the fence, and is landing some decent right hands. Lee still working the body while stopping the takedown. Ref breaks them up, and Tezuka shoots right back in for a takedown that he still isn’t getting.

Round 2
Lee takes the center this time, and Lee opens up with a feinting body kick. Lee is looking like the fresher fighter. Tezuka closes the distance and lands a one two, and shoots on Tezuka. Tezuka ends up on the bottom, and Lee starts working on the ground and pound. Tezuka rolls for a knee bar, and switches it to a heel hook. Tezuka lets go, but he is now framing up a kimura. Lee scrambles up, but Tezuka takes Lee down, but Lee has his back on the cage as he tries to pull him away from the fence. Lee scrambles up, and they break off. Lee lands a nice body shot and whiffs on a kick, and this prompts Tezuka to shoot again. Tezuka basically pulls guard, but Lee scrambles up and the round ends.

Lee takes the center, and according to Jon Anik Tezuka was dry heaving on the stool. Tezuka lands a nice leg kick, and shoots in but misses again. Tezuka now holding Lee on the fence, but can’t the takedown. Lee lands some knees and he backs off. Lee lands a nice job, and Tezuka shoots in but again can’t get it. Lee now landing some nice knees on the inside, and Roberts breaks them up. Lee whiffs on a one two, and once again Tezuka shoots for shot he won’t get. Lee lands a nice leg again, and Tezuka shoots but nope.

Tom Watson vs. Stanislav Nedkov
Round 1(Ref: Kevin Mullhall)
Watson coming forward early, and lands a front kick. Watson clinches and starts landing knees and pressing Nedkov up against the fence. Watson lands a nice elbow on the inside, and he is going to town on the knees. Nedkov is returning fire, and eats another elbow. Watson is just controlling Nedkov with his thai plum. Watson is just coming forward and not giving Nedkov any room. They break off, but Watson still coming forward. Watson is just tenderizing Nedkov with knees, and Nedkov lands a nice uppercut on Watson. Nedkov gets a takedown and is pounding on Watson working him over. The ref almost stops the fight. Nedkov steals the round.

Nedkov looks fresher of the two, and now its Nedkov coming forward. Nedkov lands a HUGE right hand, that backs up Watson. Nedkov gets the takedown but Watson pops up just to get taken down again. Nedkov landing some nice GnP. Watson scrambles up, and puts Nedkov in the thai clinch again, but Nedkov defending well. Nedkov lands a nice left hand takes down Watson again. Watson scrambles back up, and is landing more elbows in the clinch. Watson lands a big knee on the inside and Watson goes town and is landing knee after knee. Watson doing a great job landing short elbows. Watson lands a solid elbow that wobbles Nedkov, Watson backs up, and Nedkov falls to the floor. He finishes him and the ref stops is. Fun fight.

Andy Ogle vs. Josh Grispi
Round 1 (Ref Marc Goddard)
Ogle comes forward and throws a kick, and Grispi fires back. Ogle institutes a scramble, and Grispi ends up on the back of Ogle. After a scramble Grispi locks up a triangle, and Ogle tries to slam his way out of it. The cage is saving Ogle right now, and Ogle starts landing punches on the face of Grispi. The triangle is open, and Ogle is starting to land more and more gnp. Grispi is now framing up a kimura, but the round ends.

Ogle takes the center early, and Ogle lands a nice left hook. Grispi gets a takedown, but again Ogle lands up on top and takes the back. Ogle is still on the back and landing left hands to the body of Grispi. Ogle loses a hook, but he is still going body/head with right hands. Ogle scrambles and ends up on the top in half guard, but now isn’t doing much. Ogle moves to side mount, and Grispi scrambles up but gets his back taken. Ogle is high up, and the round ends.

Grispi takes the center, and lands a nice body kick. Ogle lands a nice liver kick, and Grispi looks hurt. He lands some shots and gets the takedown. Ogle now in the full guard of Grispi, and landing short shots on the inside. Ogle not doing much from top position, and Goddard is hovering. Ogle postures up and lands a nice elbow, and moves to side control and lands some knees to the body of Grispi. Grispi gives up his back, and is turtling and scrambling to his feet. Once again, Ogle gets the takedown and goes to work on the GnP. Thats how this one ends.

Sass takes the center, and Castillo starts pawing his jab. Sass clinches and ends up almost getting a triangle from standing. Castillo slams him down, and Sass switches to a knee. A scramble ensues and Castillo ends up on tp landing some ok ground and pound. Sass tries for a leg again, and Castillo scrambles and ends up on top again. Sass landing elbows from his back. Castillo stands up and goes back into his guard with a right hand. Sass keeps diving for the leg of Castillo, and Castillo is punishing him every time. Castillo lands a big series of elbows.

Sass takes the center, but Castillo is the fresher fighter. Sass throws a weak right hand, and Castillo puts him on his back with little resistance. Castillo lands a big elbow, and Sass has his head pressed up against the fence. Sass rolls for an armbar, and Castillo slams his way out of it. Castillo landing sme mean elbows from the full guard, and Hall is calling for some actions. Ref Hall stands them up. Sass looks tired, but comes forward with a left jab that Castillo ducks and puts him right on his backside. This is one way traffic for Castillo so far. Castillo stands up, and lands some GNP as the round ends.

Castillo looks fresher and is waiting for Sass to come forward. Sass lands a decent hook, and then a spinning back kick. Castillo still coming forward. Sass landing decent elbows from his back, but Castillo makes him pay with right hands.Castillo passes the guard of Sass and moves to north/south. Castillo is just smothering Sass in this fight.

Round 1 (Ref: Marc Goddard)
Etim looking focused, as Forte comes running out throwing a punch. Forte is trying to stay on the inside, but is reaching for his punches. Etim lands a decent head kick. Etim aleady using his jab well, and Forte is putting everything he has into each punch. Forte lands a nice front kick of his own, and s coming forward and backing Etim up. Forte lands a nice combination, and pushes Etim on the fence. Etim is tying him up well though. Etim breaks off after eating a knee, and lands a front kick of his own. Forte comes forward with a one two that misses and Etim puts him on the fence briefly, but was reversed. Forte gets a takedown but Etim pops up, but is on the fence.

Forte comes out fast again, but Etim backs him up with a jab. Etim is really looking to counter, and Forte lands a knee and forces him against the fence. Stalemate on the fence here. Forte lands a few hooks on the inside and they break up. Forte starts landing right hands and Etim is on wavy legs, Etim goes down and Forte follows him with some Ground and pound. Forte gets mount briefly, and lands some punches, but Etim scrambles back to ½ guard. Forte moves to ½ guard, and is landing some decent GnP. Forte moves to mount, and is landin HUGE shots.

Forte takes the center again, and Etim is going straight back with his chin up. He eats 3 right hands, and they clinch on the fence. Forte goes to work on the knees to the thighs. Forte lands a decent straight right. Etim grabs a thai plumb and lands a decent knee, but Forte gets him back up on the fence. Forte get a nifty trip takedown, and Etim give up half guard. Forte postures up and lands some punches. Etim is holding on for dear life here, as Forte postures and lands a few strikes and covers up again.

Riddle takes the center and they start to circle. Riddle opens up with a body kick, and shoots for a single. Mills lands a nice knee on the inside and Riddle abandons the shot. Mills doing a great job of tying him up. Riddle drops for a single, and eventually gets it, but Mills pops right back up. Mills breaks off and lands a nice jab, and Riddle gets the takedown. Mills right back up though. Mills starts landing some hard leg kicks, and follows up with a nice left hand. Riddle gets another takedown, and goes to work in the butterfly guard of Mills. Riddle moves to half and is landing some short shots.

Riddle opens up with a nice straight right, and shoots in for the single. While holding on to the leg, Mills jumps up and lands a head kick, and they both go down. Riddle ends up in north/south. Riddle in half guard is landing little punches on the head of Mills. Riddle really smothering Mills so far in the round. Riddle moves to mount, but Mills gives up his back for a second. Riddle ends the round in ½ landing soft shots.

Riddle lands a nice elbow from ½, and Mills doesn’t seem to be doing much to get up. Riddle is framing up a keylock, but Mills reverses it and lets him up. Mills throws a leg kick, and Riddle clinches and that’s how this one will end.

James Te-Huna vs. Ryan Jimmo

Jimmo comes straight in and lands a low kick, and Te-Huna presses him up on the fence. Te-Huna is working the knees to the thighs already. Ref breaks them, and Jimmo lands a big high kick that drops Te-Huna, and Jimmo is brutalizing Te-Huna with elbows and punches. Te-Huna’s face is a mess, but he gathers himself and gets back up, Te-Huna jumps down for a guillotine, and od course Jimmo gets right out of it. Jimmo moves to side mount and is already marking up Te-Huna again. Jimmo is staying busy and s landing some big elbows. Te-Huna lands some elbows off of his back, but Jimmo is still going body head with the strikes.

Te-Huna looks light on his feet surprisingly. Jimmo throws a headkick, but whifs. Te-Huna clinches, and is going for the takedown. Jimmo reverses the position, and is working on a trip of his own. Te-Huna reverses it back, and gets the big takedown, and moves to side mount and is landing elbows. Jimmo is shrimping well, but Te-Huna is giving him no space and landing small shots. Te-Huna gets mounted, but quickly regains ½ guard but all the while eating elbows. Te-Huna is going to town and is pounding on Jimmo.

Te-Huna is lighter on the feet, but Jimmo looks fresher than I thought. Jimmo clinches Te-Huna on the fence, and is looking for the takedown. Te-Huna gets the takedown, and goes to work with the Gnp. Te-Huna really landing some nice elbows. Te-Huna ends the round pounding on Jimmo with elbows.

Round 1
Nelson clinches almost right away and lands a knee and Santiago is circling. Santiago lands some nice right hands, but Nelson is staying calming after being tagged a few times. Nelson lands a nice side kick, and lands another one to the lead leg of Santiago. Santiago throws a high kick that almost lands, and Nelson returns a front kick to the face that barely lands. Nelson shoots for a takedown, and gets it. Santiago scrambles back to his feet, and eats a left hand from Nelson. Nelson has no respect for the striking of Santiago, he is walking around with his hands down. Nelson lands a nice body kick, and is staying on the outside of Santiago’s strikes.

Santiago coming forward, but Nelson is doing a good job keeping him on the outside. Nelson lands a big 1 2 3, and follows up with a takedown and moves into sidemount to land some GnP. Nelson is landing some nice elbows and left hands from standing mount. Santiago gets guard back, but he eats a handful of elbows for his troubles. Nelson moves to side mount and is still landing shots, and moves into mount. Santiago is trying to stay tight, but Nelson is landing more elbows.

Santiago s coming forward, but Nelson is standing still and waiting for Santiago to do something. Santiago lands a nice right hand, but Nelson is staying calm and really slowing down the fight to make it his fight. Nelson lands a nice headkick that Santiago partially blocks, and follows up with his left hand of his own. Santiago is doing better in this round, but Nelson is jumping out of the way of most strikes. Santiago lands a nice right hand that stuns Nelson, but Nelson returns fire and he looks hurt. Santiago clinches and Nelson lands an uppercut. Santiago ia on queer street, but still standing. Nelson lands a big right hand, and a solid uppercut. Santiago ends the round swinging, and lands a big one as the round ends. Too little too late though.

Round 1
Manuwa takes the center, and Diabate is circling. Manuwa lands a nice leg kick, and Manuwa clinches but gets reversed on the fence. Diabate starts throwing knees, but Manuwa grabs one and takes him down and moves to sidemount. Manuwa not getting much done as Diabate is defending well and threatening to sweep. Diabate gets back to his feet, but Manuwa is staying sticky. Manuwa lands a nice high kick, although Diabate blocks most of it. Manuwa backs up and lands nice one two, and Diabate throws a knee that Manuwa uses to take him down, but lets him up. Diabate lands some brutal knees on the outside, but Manuwa returns fire. Diabate lands a huge knee, but Manuwa uses it to take him down.

Poirier lands a nice jab low leg kick, and Swanson throws some hands back. Swanson is charging in and Poirier is timing him. Poirier dives in for another takedown, but Swanson stuffs him again. Swanson lands a big uppercut and stuns Poirier, and Swanson lands a nice 3 punch combination. Poirier catches a front kick, and uses it to take down Swanson. Swanson pops up and lands another uppercut on the way up.

Swanson seems to be the fresher fighter, but its Poirier who is coming forward. Poirier lands a nice combination, and follows with a nice shot to the body. Swanson is doing a good job landing to the body of Poirier. Swanson lands a nice kick to the body, and Poirier shoots for the takedown. Swanson escapes, and lands a solid right jab. Swanson lands a nice body kick, and Poirier takes him down, but Swanson uses an omoplata to scramble up to his feet. Poirier shoots again, but Swanson s landing some elbows to the head of Poirier.

Poirier stands but Swanson is staying sticky. Swanson rolls over Poirier, and ends up in mount. Poirier scrambles up, and Swanson uses a head an arm throw to put him back down.

McDonald lands a nice left hand coming forward, and countering Barao well. Barao lands a nice counter of his own as McDonald wades in. Barao shoots and McDonald sprawls and stops it. McDonald lands some solid shots as Barao was coming in, and it looked like Barao got dropped. Barao pops up and presses McDonald on the fence until he gets the takedown. Again, Barao is tied up and does little with it.

McDonald looks like the fresher fighter, and Barao is being very timid. McDonald lands a low kick that snaps him out of it. McDonald lands a strong left hand, and follows with a right uppercut. Barao is still coming forward, and misses big with a wheel kick. McDonald lands a nice low kick, and a nice left hook. Barao gets taken down, but McDonald again pops back up after landing an up kick. Barao really seems to be reaching with his punches. McDonald’s left hand is really paying dividends, and he is countering well with his right. Barao seems to be waiting, but lands a solid left kick. Barao lands a front kick to the face of McDonald but it doesn’t phase him. Barao throws a leg kick, and eats a BIG right hand from McDonald.

Barao seems to have more urgency in this round and is coming forward. Barao comes wading in with some shots, but was way too wild to land anything with power. Barao comes forward and lands a one two, and shoots for a takedown. Barao ends up in side mount, and McDonald pushes him off and stands up. McDonald lands a nice body shot combination. Barao lands a nice right of his own, but McDonald lands a nice uppercut on the inside. Barao rushes in with a right hand, but not much on it. Barao lands a nice spinning back to the chin of McDonald, but McDonald seems to be ok.

Barao stalking, but McDonald lands a nice left hook. Barao lands a nice left hook of his own. Barao shoots, and McDonald stuffs it. McDonald seems to be slowing down some. Barao lands a nice flying knee, but McDonald lands a nice counter himself. McDonald’s nose is bleeding. Barao throws a high kick and misses badly, but is the one coming forward. McDonald lands a nice one two, and when Barao ducked McDonald landed another one. Barao gets the takedow, and takes the back of McDonald. McDonald moves into sidemount, he frames up a head and arm choke. McDonald does good to defend, but eventually Barao swings his legs out and gets the tap.
