The MMA world got a double-dose of good news this morning when beloved UFC icon B.J. Penn went on Facebook to announce his cataract surgery went as planned and the results already have him thinking about time in the gym to test his improved vision. Earlier this week “The Prodigy” revealed he had been suffering from blurred vision stemming from the cataract for awhile.
Were that not enough, Penn also addressed the overwhelming movement to see him slim back down to the lightweight division where he reigned as champion before losing a closely-contested clash with Frankie Edgar. And, rather than shrug off the process of cutting weight as he has in the past, Penn actually seemed relatively open to the idea.
“Cataract surgery wasn’t fun but it was painless. Already the glare is gone and my depth perception is improving.”
“155? First I gotta spar and check my depth perception. Lightweights will eat me up with their speed if I don’t judge the distance right.”

A true warrior! Without a doubt
Agreed. Would love to see him back at 155. He was a beast there.
Awesome news! Gotta love Penn.
