Two of the UFC’s most talented middleweights – Alan Belcher/Rousimar Palhares – have agreed to mix it up on May 15 in New Jersey as part of the main card at UFC on FOX 3, an addition completing the quartet of clashes scheduled to air on the network’s airwaves.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the bout earlier today via Twitter.
The match-up will mark the second for Belcher since returning from an eye injury that kept him out for more than a year and nearly ended his career based on the severity involved. His first involved an opening round stoppage of Jason MacDonald at UFN 25, the third straight victory for the 17-6 Roufusport fighter.

The 14-3 Palhares is also in the midst of a three-fight winning streak with a January submission of Mike Massenzio serving as his most recent appearance inside the Octagon. Known for his devastating submissions and overall power, “Toquinho” has had his hand raised in the past against the likes of Ivan Salaverry and Dan Miller.
The other three fights set for FOX are topped by headlining action from Jim Miller-Nate Diaz with Lavar Johnson vs. Pat Barry and Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks rounding out the broadcast.
