As reported over the weekend, Manny Gamburyan was injured and forced out of his UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche bout with Chad Mendes. The UFC scrambled to find a replacement for Mendes but were unable to do so and pulled him off the card. To fill the gap, the UFC announced former Strikeforce fighters Nah-Shon Burrell and Yuri Villefort will make their Octagon debut on the card in the since-scrapped bout’s place.
The new fight will be added to the Facebook portion of the event, while officials have also confirmed that a welterweight bout between Court McGee and Josh Neer will be bumped up to the pay per view portion of the card. UFC 157 will take place on February 23 in Anaheim, California and is headlined by a title-fight between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche.
