ONE FC will be returning to Singapore for the fourth time this spring for a card that is shaping up to be the best in the promotion’s history.
ONE FC: Kings and Champions, scheduled for April 5, is headlined by a title-bout between DREAM lightweight champion Shinya Aoki and reigning ONE FC lightweight champion Kotetsu Boku.
Other bouts confirmed so far include a lightweight match-up between Eddie Ng-Arnaud Lepont and a bantamweight bout between Yusup Saadulaev-Leandro Issa.
The announcements have been coming thick and fast from Asia’s biggest MMA organization and it was recently confirmed that the second ONE Asia Summit would be taking place at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore from May 2-4. In attendance will be representatives from DREAM, URCC, Road FC, Glory and many other major MMA promotions and gyms with ONE FC footing the bill for around 500 people to be flown in to Singapore for the two day summit.
The ONE FC Network has united all the major players in Asian MMA and the summits are an opportunity for all of them to get together in order to map out the future of the sport.
While Glory has resurrected DREAM and URCC and Road FC both have shows booked it is ONE FC which is pressing ahead with the most ambitious plans in the region which include events in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Jakarta, Hanoi, Taipei, New Delhi and even Moscow.
In total ONE FC plan to put on 12 shows in 2013 and that number will be increased t0 24 in 2014. A new TV deal with Star Sports also means that future ONE FC events will be broadcast live all across Asia on a Friday night and similar broadcast deals have been struck in Russia, France, Cambodia and various other countries all over the world.
