Fighters.com and UFC middleweight champion “The Spider” Anderson Silva (25-4) has lost his Muay Thai trainer, Daniel Woirin, two months before Silva’s title defense versus eighth-ranked “Phenom” Vitor Belfort (18-8) at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi April 10.
“I thank Anderson for all the time we spent working together. He’s a champion, a born striker, but we won’t continue working together in this partnership due to lack of tune in some moments. I decided to let the way open or him to work his Muay Thai with anyone he decides,” Woirin told Tatame.
Woirin had worked with Silva in his last four victories, through his utter destruction of former UFC light heavyweight champ and sixth-ranked Forrest Griffin (17-6).
