Though questions swirled surrounding the future of lightweight Ryan Couture in the wake of his father’s falling out with the UFC, fans can now rest comfortably knowing the 30-year old will indeed make his Octagon debut in the near future. Specifically, officials have confirmed Couture is scheduled for action against Ross Pearson on April 6 at UFC on Fuel 9.
Couture (6-1) is coming off a solid showing against K.J. Noons where he picked up his fourth straight victory in the process. Comparably, Pearson is an Ultimate Fighter winner with a 14-6 record who also found success in his most recent rumble by knocking out George Sotiropoulos in the third round of their December duel.
UFC on Fuel 9 is headlined by a bout between light heavyweights Alexander Gustafsson-Gegard Mousasi.
