Fighters.com has confirmed that Patricky Freire has pulled out of his fight with Guillaume DeLorenzi. Though the words ‘out of the tournament’ n ever materialized, missing the first round of the bracket mostly likely means he will be out of the tourney altogether. Saad Awad, who was already on the card, is stepping up to fight DeLorenzi.
The nature of the injury is unknown at this point, but sites are reporting that the Lloyd Woodard and Dave Rickels will now be the main event for tomorrow night’s card. In place of Awad, Sevak Magakian will be making he Bellator debut against Jason Fischer. The fighters weigh in this afternoon (Fighters.com will have live coverage of the festivities).
