Amir Sadollah Taking on Stephen Thompson at Memorial Day Weekend event

A bout between welterweight strikers Amir Sadollah-Stephen Thompson has been added to the UFC’s upcoming event on May 25. Both men have looked sharp inside the Octagon at times and should be looking to throw down in hopes of erasing any lingering taste of defeat after falling in their most recent rumbles.

Like the specific label of the annual Memorial Day Weekend lineup, the match-up in question has not been officially announced. However, the bout was reported by MMAFighting, citing sources close to the situation.

Sadollah holds an overall record of 6-4 with all ten tilts taking place under the UFC banner. Among the notable opponents he’s beaten while learning on the job are the likes of Phil Baroni and C.B. Dollaway. Meanwhile, Thompson is 6-1 in MMA since transitioning from a highly-successful run as a karate practitioner including a highlight-reel knockout of Dan Stittgen last February.
