Sengoku: Mamed Khalidov Versus Jorge Santiago to Rematch for MW Title

Polish middleweight Mamed Khalidov (14-3-1) and Sengoku middleweight champion Jorge Santiago (21-7) will rematch for Santiago’s title at Sengoku in Tokyo March 7, according to Sherdog.

Khalidov TKO’d Santiago at Sengoku Eleventh Battle in Tokyo November 7, but in a non-title fight, which is an oddity of Japanese MMA.

So, now they’ll reset and do it again, this time for the title.

Khalidov told Sherdog, “I believe that despite the quick result of the first match, this will be a top quality fight. Thanks to Sengoku for this opportunity to show my skills in the Japanese ring again and to Santiago’s team for accepting the fight.”
