Unfortunatly, as a Sanchez fan, I find it a strong possibility that Diego could be reduced gatekeeper status. It wasnt that he simlply lost to Penn but how he looked during the fight. I do believe that he was not the best Diego sanchez on that night. But the point is well made that although he may not have much to offer GSP there are plenty of talented fighters that i would love to see Diego square off against at WW. In any event I think we will find out soon just how well Diego is able to bounce . If he does get by Hatheway I think Dana will want to match him up with a Hardy or Thiago type fighter right away.

they're all pretty much gatekeepers in those divisions because it is near impossible to beat the champions...so they are all gatekeepers for the #2 spot

You are correct, it was at middleweight. Sorry for the error.

David, Sure Kenny got seasoned as you put it by BJ and he may have reached his full potential. I believe he does not have the skill set or seize to be a champt at 55. Both him and Diego have holes in their games that just can't be filled.

On a side note, the article is not BS. It is how I see his future in the division.

I think that Diego was the winner of the original TUF show at middleweight not WW.

That is complete and utter bullsh*t! Kenny in my eyes didn't have no more to offer than diego, he just had a better strategy and emloyed it better. Just so you know I am a Dego fan. And seeng hm dominated by the best LW in the world wasn't very bad at all. See, now kenny had the advantae of fighting a champ before in a fve round fight. That rght there seasoned kenny. Once you lose lke that, you either pack your things up and run, or train harder smarter and more versatile until you become the best you can be. Kenny's back, and I belive he's nearing hs peak-potiential. But Diego? Jell no! He just got seasoned by the champ. Now he knows what the best really are. I expect him to have just as succesful carrer in top comp. as Florian did or better. And that is more than enough to be proud of.
