Lengthy List of Injuries Attached to Lineup for Bellator 85

Any good feelings resulting from last week’s landmark effort from Bellator on Spike TV have likely been dulled after the California State Athletic Commission released the list of medical suspensions relating to the event. Many of the company’s biggest stars exited the cage with fairly severe afflictions including a slew of potentially broken bones.

Among the bunch of casualties are champions Michael Chandler and Pat Curran, both of whom suffered some sort of damage to a foot. Each will need to spend six months on the sidelines unless cleared by a doctor.

Were that not bad enough, six other fighters received similar suspensions, while light heavyweight semifinalist Jacob Noe is out indefinitely due to a possible fracture of his orbital bone.
