Fans found out yesterday that just because a fighter is added to the UFC website, it doesn’t mean they are signed with the promotion (Josh Barnett was added to the site prompting many to jump to conclusions). Conversely, when a fighter is removed from the website it typically means they are cut from the promotion. As such, nine competitors’ names are no longer listed on their respective pages with many pundits saying the move is a result of the influx of Strikeforce fighters coming to the UFC. While that may be part of the issue, it’s important to point out that the nine released have a combined UFC record of 3-19 too.
MMAOpinion Reported:
The UFC have released a number of fighters just as they make room for the additions of the Strikeforce signees. Chad Griggs, Nick Penner, Marcus LeVesseur, John Cofer, Joey Gambino, Jeff Hougland,Jared Papazian and Yasuhiro Urishitani and Henry Martinez are the 9 released.

I can live without roidnett.
But it will be mildly satisfying to watch him be exposed for the sham that he’s always been.
