Benson Henderson-Gilbert Melendez, Mir-Cormier Both Confirmed for UFC on FOX 7

Rumors were swirling that Benson Henderson would be defending his UFC title at UFC on FOX 7 against incoming Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez. Now the UFC has made the fight official, also confirming that former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will be rolling out the welcome mat for Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier.

After his Strikeforce win over Dion Staring, Cormier told the audience that he wanted to fight Mir. The two were supposed to face off at a November Strikeforce event but Mir was forced out with an injury.

UFC on FOX 7 is scheduled for April 20 in San Jose, CA.
