Josh Barnett arrived late in Oklahoma for his Saturday night Strikeforce fight. It is being reported that Barnett has been suffering from what’s being called “a little congestion.” It’s hard to imagine a head cold would prevent him from getting on a flight, but according to his manager Leland LaBarre, he wasn’t feeling well enough to travel on Tuesday like everyone else.
According to MMAFighting:
LaBarre said Barnett had to get clearance to fly from his doctor on Wednesday, who determined “The Warmaster” was healthy enough to travel. As a result, Barnett flew to Oklahoma City Thursday morning. “He’s ready and excited for Saturday night,” LaBarre said.
Barnett faces Nandor Guelmino this Saturday night on the undercard of the final Strikeforce event on Showtime.
