The UFC recently announced an intriguing middleweight match-up between Hector Lombard and Yushin Okami. Both men are coming off impressive wins and are considered to be two of the toughest draws in the division. However, Lombard doesn’t seem to be overly concerned with his adversary’s abilities given one area the Japanese star is deficient in – durability.
According to the 32-3-1 Lombard in an interview with News.com, his March 2 match-up with Yushin Okami is certain to end in a knockout blow and will mark the second step of his march towards a UFC championship.
“Okami has no chin. He can’t cop the punches.”
On the possibility of earning a title-fight:
“We have to be realistic and talk about things that might happen. I’ve got to take one fight at a time and one-by-one I can take them out. By the end of the year, people are going to say he deserves the title-shot.”
