Strikeforce welterweight Roger Bowling is headed to the UFC. Bowling took to his Facebook to break the news and announce that his next fight will be in the Octagon, planning on a March or April return. There has been no mention of any possible opponents.
Bowling is coming off of a loss to Strikeforce contender Tarec Saffiedine in mid-August after putting together back-to-back TKO finishes. He will be entering the infamous eight-sided cage for the first time with a professional record of 11-3.
Bowling announced:
Just received my UFC contract for 2013! This is going to be a AWESOME year! Hoping to get a fight late March or early April. Thank you to all my fans! I will work harder to keep my Facebook updated.
