There were a few common themes in the UFC in 2012, but one of the ugliest ones was the dreaded ‘injury bug.’ It tore the heart out of some match-ups last year while making a few better as well.
It appears the UFC isn’t taking that chance with UFC 158, as the organization has added a fifth welterweight scrap to the card in the form of a bout between Dan Miller and Strikeforce import Jordan Mein.
UFC officials have confirmed the clash.
After nearly a year off due to injuries, Miller returned to the cage with a win over Ricardo Funch at UFC on FX: Guida vs. Maynard. Mein will get to make his UFC debut in front of his Canadian countrymen, coming into the UFC with a Strikeforce record of 2-1. His most recent win came in November at The Score Fighting Series where he finished Forrest Petz in the opening round of action.
